At Osseo Area Schools, we are looking for individuals who embody our mission to inspire and prepare scholars for success. As a Building Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining our district facilities, equipment, and grounds, ensuring they are safe, clean, and conducive to learning. What Success Looks Like: Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Take initiative in addressing maintenance needs and solving problems. Provide excellent customer service to all facility users. Work collaboratively with the principal and building staff to address issues as they arise. Show a willingness to learn and grow professionally. Responsibilities: Perform general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and other areas according to district standards. Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work. Support kitchen staff by assisting with floor mopping and stocking supplies. Maintain building grounds, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and snow removal. Set up and take down equipment for events. Respond to questions and provide excellent customer service to facility users. Complete all reports and logs in a timely manner. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Willingness to obtain an MN Specialist boiler license within one year of hire date. MN First Class C boiler license preferred. Training or experience in cleaning and maintaining commercial facilities desired. Why Join Us: Starting at $19.70/hr, up to $26.34/hr based on experience 2nd Shift: hours 3 PM - 11:30 PM Full-time, year-round position with a 5-day work week. Meaningful and impactful work.
