UNITED TRADES OF AMERICA is looking for Journeyman electricians in FORT SMITH, ARKANSAS for multiple commercial and industrial projects. Ideal candidates should have a high urgency for safety protocols, time management skills, and the experience needed to complete the duties and responsibilities required. WE ARE LOOKING FOR LOCALS ONLY AT THIS TIME (NO PER DIEM) Position Title: Electrician (Journeyman or Skilled Apprentice) Position Location: Fort Smith, AR Hourly Pay: based upon experience Requirements: MUST have a valid Arkansas electrical license. Journeyman must have 7 years experience & apprentice must have at least 4 years experience. MUST be willing and able to submit to and pass a background check and drug screen. Responsibilities: For Journeyman Electricians: Installation and Maintenance: Execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to apprentice electricians. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project success. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address problems. Safety: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on job sites. Conduct safety assessments and implement corrective actions as necessary. For Apprentice Electricians: Learning and Development: Assist Journeyman Electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge. Blueprints and Documentation: Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed. Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Report potential hazards and actively participate in creating a safe work environment. Qualifications: For Journeyman Electricians: MUST have a valid Arkansas Journeyman License Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and codes. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities. For Apprentice Electricians: MUST have a valid Arkansas Apprentice License Proven experience as an apprentice. Basic understanding of electrical systems and components. Eagerness to learn and contribute to team success. Commitment to safety and following guidelines. Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
