Maintenance Mechanic

Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance MechanicThe purpose of this role is to repair, maintain, and change over food packaging lines. Additionally, it involves minor building maintenance and equipment repair in the blending area. Responsibilities:Communicate directly with the Plant Engineer to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.Prioritize food packaging equipment rebuilds and preventive maintenance in collaboration with the plant engineer.Proactively schedule planned maintenance downtime by coordinating with the lead mechanic and coordinator.Provide feedback to the Plant Engineer.Ensure correct and complete execution of monthly preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.Participate in maintenance training.Utilize E-Mant to verify PM compliance, assign PM tasks, and close out work orders.Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning parts or equipment (such as motors, switches, sensors, input/output boards, controllers, gears, sprockets, chains, and knives) using test equipment and meters (e.g., VOM, megger, amp probe, and PC).Comply with OSHA Safety and Health standards and requirements.Abide by plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety regulations.Educational Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent.Vocational school experience is a plus.Additional Requirements:Industrial/Manufacturing Experience.Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance while climbing, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Knowledge of mechanical equipment and an understanding of machinery operation.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Handle confidential information appropriately.Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.Familiarity with electrical meters and welding equipment.Prior experience in industrial mechanics or maintenance operations is preferred.
