The Associate Attorney will primarily handle cases involving clients diagnosed with asbestos-related diseases. They will file legal complaints, offer legal advice, prepare legal documents, and represent clients throughout the legal process. Additionally, they will assist the Supervising Attorney with case workup, motions, client interviews, depositions, court appearances, and discovery preparation. Duties:File legal complaints and offer legal advice to clients with asbestos-related diseasesPrepare legal documents and represent clients in legal proceedingsAssist Supervising Attorney with case workup, motions, and discovery preparationConduct client and witness interviews to gather and evaluate informationDepose witnesses and clients as necessaryAppear in court as neededReturn and respond to client and defense counsel communicationGather and analyze information from various records (e.g., Social Security, Medical, Military, Union)Delegate assignments to team paralegals and legal assistants Requirements:Licensed to practice Law in the State of IllinoisProficiency in MS Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenSelf-motivated and well-organized Skills:Strong attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks effectivelyLegal research and analytical skillsTeamwork and leadership abilities
