The role involves managing all aspects of case work-up and trial preparation, including drafting and reviewing discovery and motions, conducting depositions, engaging in settlement negotiations, and making court appearances.Duties:Manage all elements of case work-up and trial preparation for complex commercial litigation cases.Draft and review discovery documents, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing parties.Represent clients in court appearances and hearings.Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and execution.Maintain organized case files and documentation.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Texas State Bar.2-5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.High level of academic achievement.Solid law firm experience.Excellent writing and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy.Certifications:Admission to the Texas State Bar.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Excellent interpersonal skills.Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.Familiarity with relevant legal software and technology.Adaptability to changing priorities and circumstances.
