Description:
We are looking to hire talented Medical Assistants or EMT-A staff for our Westlake clinic located at 2209 Crocker Rd, Ste. D; Westlake, OH, 44145.*This position requires successful completion of a Medical Assistant or EMT-A education from an accredited institution*Scheduling is tentative 9am - 8pm weekdays and 9am - 5pm weekends, 3 shifts/week for full time on a floating schedule. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Schedules published on a monthly basis.ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES:Prepare patient(s) for and assist with examination and/or treatmentPerform triage and obtain vital signsObtain and timely and accurately document patient history in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Collect and maintain all patient and business documents while always maintaining confidentialityCollect routine laboratory specimens including phlebotomy, urinalysis and/or oral swabsAdminister medications and non-intravenous injections (intramuscular, subcutaneous and/or intradermal)Start an IV, place a catheter and perform splinting when needed/directedPerform various other clinical, aseptic and/or basic laboratory proceduresDocument within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions timely and accuratelyUnderstand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirementsResponsible for quality assurance program for compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackersAlways ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliancePerform office procedures including all general administrative duties; ability to operate all office medical equipment Required to travel to various locations as needed based on staffing and volume Other duties as assignedEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATIONS:Successful completion of a MA, LPN, EMT, RN or X-Ray Technology program from an accredited institutionOne year of relevant healthcare experience; preferably urgent care or emergency departmentWilling to train new, stellar graduatesMust be proficient in venipuncture and injectionsKnowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiologyINDPCLicenses & CertificationsPreferredMedical Assistant CertRN CertificationParamedic CertificationLPN CertificationEMT Certificationby Jobble
