The University of Iowa Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS) Research Coordinator Core is seeking a clinical trial research assistant/ data manager to be an integral member of the research team. This position's primary focus will provide support for the NIH Heartland Consortium All of Us Program by performing activities which are vitally important to the mission of the program that is to advance the science of precision medicine and to ensure everyone shares in its benefits. This position is a member of a larger team that will actively engage in the annual enrollment of approximately 1,500 diverse participants who are often underrepresented in biomedical research. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, research, and hospital staff to recruit, screen, educate, and assist in the overall clinical study coordination of the defined protocol. Duties to include but not limited to:* Perform clinical/health care research activities in various departments. * Screen, recruit, enroll and obtain informed consent for clinical research activities.* Assist in the design, development, execution, administration and maintenance of protocols and clinical studies and provide input into descriptions of complex research procedures. * Assist patients with problems related to protocol. * Participate in the design; development and testing of clinical research trial data systems. * Manage and organize regulatory documentation. * Prepare regulatory submissions. * Participate in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding. Percent of Time: 100%Pay Grade: 3Ahttps://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/guide-pay-plansBenefits Highlights:Regular salaried position located in Iowa City, IowaFringe benefit package including paid vacation; sick leave; health, dental, life and disability insurance options; and generous employer contributions into retirement plansFor more information about Why Iowa?, click hereRequired Qualifications* A Bachelor's degree in a Health Science field or an equivalent combination of education and research experience is required.* Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in research. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to work nights and weekends.* Basic (6 months - 1 year) of clinical research experience.* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.* Valid driver's license and the ability to meet and maintain University Driving Policy standards. Desirable Qualifications* Previous experience working on the NIH All of Us program.* Demonstrated experience working with rural or historically underserved community members or community-based organizations, utilizing various techniques to reach and engage these audiences effectively.* Familiarity with electronic medical records.* Experience with biospecimen collection and processing.* Experience with basic health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, height, weight, circumference measurements).* Experience with phlebotomy.* Experience with REDCap, Epic, I-CART, and ACCESS.* Previous experience in data collection and entry.* Experience in processing research regulatory documents.* The ability to work independently.* Excellent time management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.Application Process: In order to be considered for an interview, applicants must upload the following documents and mark them as a "Relevant File" to the submission:ResumeCover Letter Job openings are posted for a minimum of 14 calendar days and may be removed from positing and filled any time after the original posting period has ended.
