PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Design and preparation of all drawings for ease of manufacture 2 Design of new features and options for customer orders 3 New product development and cost reduction 4 Structural integrity and mechanical fit of product 5 Product field support and troubleshooting 6 Technical support for all company departments 7 Cost reduction of the manufacturing process 8 Drawing interpretation and conflict resolution 9 Product testing and inspectionREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Proficient with AutoCAD * Proficient with SolidWorks * Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office * Solid oral and written communication skills * Familiar with reading and interpreting plans and machining * Metal fabrication techniques include welding and * Mechanical and structural design principals and calculations * Sheet metal design and forming techniques * Willingness to travel to support products in the field (up to 10% of time)DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: * BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred * Three (3) plus years' experience with concrete plants or related industries * Five (5) plus years' experience in a capital equipment environment * Regulatory requirements and practices (OSHA, EPA, etc.) * Hydraulic equipment experience * Familiar with electrical controls from a functional perspective * Structural calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred * Frequent vendor contactIND 005 009
