Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7:30a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Must be willing to work weekends, Over-time and be on call when needed. POSITION SUMMARY Supervise logistics employees who verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Duties include shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation. Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures. Reviewing, preparing, and routing sales orders & purchase orders using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments. Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity. Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues. Liaising with vendors and customers. Answering customer & customer service queries. Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. Prepare documents, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes. Contact carrier representative to arrange, shipping and delivery of materials. Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. Create UPS shipments and ship confirm. Assist office and production departments in optimizing orders for fabrication, as needed. Performs other assignments as directed. Knowledge of laws, regulations for OTR & LTL transportation/including OS&D & claims. Gaining this knowledge through listening to the customer and applying their knowledge of the products and systems to provide what is required. Organizational skills. Must be able to keep detailed records and simultaneously manage several projects in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving skills. Must handle unforeseen issues, such as delivery problems, and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredBachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Analytics (preferred) or equivalent work experience. Experience: 2+ years' experience in logistics or shipping. 3+ years' experience in a supervisory role in logistics or related field. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of logistics software (JDE and UPS), warehouse software (WMS) & Salesforce(preferred) Certifications &Licenses: Valid Driver's License, forklift certification.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual midpoint salary for this position is expected $97,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.
