What do I need as an RN with Messiah Lifeways? RN graduate of an approved school CPR certified unless contraindicated for health reasons Three years of nursing experience with a minimum of one year in gerontology preferred Makes clinical decisions based on departmental policies and procedures What will I do as an RN with Messiah Lifeways? Helps orient new residents to the Enhanced Living neighborhood. Provides supervision and care to residents to maximize their capabilities, quality of life, and independence. Assists Enhanced Living residents with medications per physician's orders; following DHS guidelines and policies/procedures related to medication. Observe residents in daily activities and keeps the Enhanced Living Director of Nursing informed of unusual problems, and maintains resident charts Provides clinical leadership to Neighborhood Care Teams as needed and keeps team members informed of issues that require attention. Follows proper procedures and promotes safe work practices in order to maintain a safe working environment. Works cooperatively and productively with others, including residents, families, and other team members. Discretion and tact, patience, and compassion are required to perform effectively.
