Sr./Principal Software QA Engineer
Description:
A company is looking for a Senior/Principal Software QA Engineer to ensure software quality, collaborate with teams, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive process improvement. This leadership role includes mentoring junior team members and external contractors. Responsibilities * Develop and execute software test plans, cases, and scripts per product requirements. * Participate in defining requirements and lead verification strategies. * Conduct various tests (functional, regression, performance) to ensure quality and identify defects. * Automate testing processes for efficiency and broader coverage. * Collaborate with teams to mitigate quality risks and ensure compliance. * Analyze software defects and work on timely resolutions. * Document results, track defects, and generate reports. * Drive continuous improvement and mentor junior team members. * Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Required Skills * Education/Certification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Software quality assurance certification (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus. * Work Experience: 7+ years in software quality assurance, including 3+ years in a senior/lead role. Expertise in designing and executing test strategies in regulated environments. Experience with FDA regulations, international standards, and biotech/pharmaceutical industries. * Qualifications/Skills: Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., Helix, Doors). Experience with automated testing tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium). Strong grasp of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Other Essentials: Track record in dynamic organizations with an entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively. Detail-oriented with a passion for quality results and strong ethical standards.
