Below are the detailed job specifications:Job Overview: The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of litigation, including case management, drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, attending hearings, and participating in trial preparation. The candidate will work closely with senior attorneys and clients to develop and execute litigation strategies.Duties:Assist in managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.Conduct legal research on various issues related to ongoing cases.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Attend hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.Requirements:4-6 years of litigation experience, with a focus on public entity litigation preferred.Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in California.Excellent writing and analytical skills.Experience taking and defending depositions.Proficiency in drafting dispositive motions.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California.Skills:Legal research and writing.Case management and trial preparation.Oral advocacy and negotiation.Attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in legal software and databases.
