The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience, including a demonstrated interest in energy regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).Duties:Conduct legal research on energy regulatory issues, including FERC regulations, rulings, and precedents.Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and other documents related to regulatory proceedings.Assist in preparing clients for hearings, meetings, and other regulatory proceedings.Analyze and interpret complex regulatory statutes, rules, and policies.Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop regulatory strategies and provide legal advice.Requirements:4-6 years of legal experience, with a focus on energy regulatory matters preferred.Demonstrated interest in energy law and regulatory issues, particularly before FERC.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.Track record of insightful research and analysis, with attention to detail and accuracy.Persuasive writing abilities, demonstrated through legal briefs, memoranda, or other written work products.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Persuasive writing abilities.Ability to interpret complex regulatory statutes and rules.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
