They will assist clients with gathering information from third-party providers, prepare inventory and accounting documents, and manage a busy administration practice. Additionally, the role entails researching estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax issues, and maintaining efficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Duties:Represent executors during all stages of the estate administration processAssist clients with gathering information from third-party providersPrepare inventory and accounting documentsManage a busy administration practice, including proactive deadline and matter scheduling and managementConduct research on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax issuesFollow the process of client intake, document preparation, and ongoing communicationsRequirements:2-4 years of experience in administering estates of all sizes in North CarolinaAbility to work independently and administer client filesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the North Carolina State Bar (preferred)Skills:Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlinesKnowledge of estate planning and administration laws and procedures The legal practice is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina.
