Summary: The Sr. FP&A Analyst works closely with Finance management and other key leadership in the organization. The Sr. FP&A Analyst is responsible for performing analysis that is used to develop strategy, monitor our businesses and drive operational decisions. This includes, but is not limited to variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The successful candidate will have the ability to challenge the organization effectively, resolve problems, and willing to provide a hands-on approach in finding solutions. Directs and conducts complex and strategic financial analyses and research in such areas as revenue and expense performance, capital spending, depreciation, net investment, peer company performance and other special projects. Knows and uses advanced financial analysis concepts, practices, and procedures. Retrieves data from company databases and reporting systems. Compiles complex data and prepares clear, transparent reports, graphs, and presentations for management. Develops financial or economic models. Reviews reports for accuracy and completeness. Manages revenue and expense forecasts, and projections of capital spending and rate base. Provides forecasting scenarios to support and recommend business decisions. Forecasts long-term financial results and development opportunities for the Company. Primary contact with internal partners such as Operations, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Accounting when gathering financial information for budgets and forecasts. May represent the department on enterprise teams. Provides guidance to departments in the formulation of their annual expense and capital budgets. Provides input on annual revenue budget. Oversees annual budget input into reporting system and reconciles output to budget targets. Identifies and recommends financial options or strategies when evaluating business opportunities. Conducts audit of financial records. Recognizes missing or incomplete information and inconsistencies or anomalies in financial research. Identifies business process problems, makes decisions, and finds solutions based on interpretation of policies and procedures. Performs various ad hoc analytical and reporting projects, as assigned, which may include cash, working capital, sales, cost, financial and operational analyses. Provides guidance and support for less-experienced financial staff members. Performs work with minimal guidance and a high level of independent decision-making. Other job duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: The Sr. FP&A Analyst will be an experienced, operationally oriented professional who can successfully lead as a very hands-on Analyst to scale for additional growth and maximize potential. This professional will possess: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline is required. MBA or advanced degree preferred. At least 3+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, accounting or related field. Experience working in finance within manufacturing preferred. Experience in 3 statement modeling preferred CPA or related professional certification(s) preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required, including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication and presentation abilities to articulate financial concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to work with cross-functional teams in multiple geographies across varying time zones. Experience working with databases and retrieving information from information systems. A proven track record of time-management and multi-tasking skills. Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and ERP systems. Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in detail. Ability to work, communicate, and collaborate with personnel at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems. ADDITIONAL PRIORITIES: The SR. FP&A Analyst will prioritize and broadly execute the following: Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Ability to determine how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for those expenditures. Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
