Business Address: #103 – 12889, 84 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3W 0K5 Position Description Position: Welder Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent No of positions: 3Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible Work Location: Various job sites in Surrey (BC) and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC). Salary and Benefits Salary: $30.00 per hour Overtime and Vacation Pay Job Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or welding process specifications. • Take measurements and plan welding layout and procedures. • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various welding processes. • Weld metal components together for gates, railings, and fences (such as chain link, metal, and aluminum fences) using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions. • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. • Operate brazing and soldering equipment. • Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines. • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws Job Requirements: • Completion of secondary school. • Completion of an apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the trade. • Ability to fluently communicate in English.
