I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for a High Needs Finance Assistant in Blackpool Hybrid to work within the School Finance and Funding Team in Children’s Services, and provide finance support to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND service. I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for a High Needs Finance Assistant in Blackpool Hybrid to work within the School Finance and Funding Team in Children’s Services, and provide finance support to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND service. ROLE: High Needs Finance Assistant LOCATION: Blackpool Hybrid CONTRACT: 4 Months Ongoing PAY: £13.50 per hour umbrella Please note as a hybrid role, it benefits from being split between office-based at a modern office building in Blackpool and homeworking The Role Carrying out financial procedures regarding High Needs expenditure for pupils with SEND, ensuring accurate adherence to Council policies and procedures. Making timely payments and raising invoices to education providers, checking amounts to database records and investigating and resolving discrepancies. Ensuring records are maintained accurately and kept up to date. The Person Proactive individual with excellent financial and IT literacy skills and good attention to detail. Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills Have experience of working with databases, and a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft products Shows a high level of confidentiality and discretion Be able to work under pressure and prioritise your workload in line with deadlines and able to work under their own initiative with a 'can do' attitude. Demonstrate initiative in providing a pro-active and efficient support service.
