Number of Positions: 12 Starting Immediately Terms of Employment: Full time year round Wage: 38$-45$ per hour Hourly Hours (each week): 32 Language Requirements: English Job Duties: Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers Operate previously set up welding machines such as spot, butt and seam resistance or gas and arc welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications Ensure work instructions are carried out as per Supervisor or Lead Hand’s directives. Ensure tolerances and specifications are met per company standards. Meet assigned production goals and objectives. Comply with company safety and quality standards. Perform fitting and welding duties safely, accurately and in a timely manner Job Requirements: Current Alberta Journeyman Welding Ticket required within 6 months B-Pressure Welding certificate required within 6 months Ability to read and interpret shop drawings Ability to read and interpret welding procedures Ability to use the facility equipment: Overhead cranes, forklift, manlift and rigging equipment Sub-Arc welding considered an asset Above average proficiency in TIG welding and ability to TIG weld using both hands is a requirement of the position Overtime may be.
