Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Early Intervention Officer - Homelessness to join the team based in Ashfield. You will join us on a part time (22 hours per week), permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £16,711.20 per annum (pay award pending). Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of residents in urgent housing need? If so, the Early Intervention Officer role may be for you. You will be responsible for providing an efficient, high-quality advice and backssment service for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customers’ circumstances are investigated and their housing and support needs are backssed in accordance with the homelessness legislation, statutory guidance and the Council’s policies and procedures. To meet the requirements of this role, you must be able to interpret complex legislation and guidance, contribute positively to the development of new working practices and initiatives that help to prevent homelessness, increase the take-up of housing options and minimise the use and cost of temporary accommodation. The post is for 3 full days, the days worked are to be agreed with the successful candidate.
