Our client is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to prepare, lay out, position, align and secure the details to be welded using measuring and scribing devices, clamps, and tacked welds. What is in it for you? $25/HR - depending on experience Competitive health, dental, vision, employee assistance and wellness benefits, beginning on the first day of employment Matching contribution pension plan Internal development and promotion opportunities, both locally and globally Tuition reimbursement Employee referral bonus program Social events and community engagement Customer and other marketplace discounts An inclusive and diverse work environment Hours of Work: Days, and Afternoons available 10/12 hrs per day Monday - Friday Lots of overtime Location: Windsor, ONResponsibilities: Select the welding equipment required and plan a sequence of welding operations Prepare the material and tooling by grinding, carbon arc, scale removal or beveling, before welding to ensure that the correct welding practices are maintained throughout the process Ensure that the correct amount of weld is used based on the customer’s requirements and the best welding practices and standards Inspect the weld site for imperfections or fissures in the weld, using weld gauges and weld defect analysis, and make repairs as required Interpret drawings and weld symbols, inclusive of familiarity with and understanding of GD&T standards Lay out, position, align and secure the details to be welded using measuring and scribing devices, clamps, and tacked welds Shape metal components using arc or flame-cutting equipment to the specified dimensions or to repair.
