Located in Woodbury, Minnesota, Smiles Plus Dental Care is a dental clinic that focuses on creating a great experience for our patients. We are looking for a Licensed Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care to join our team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take dental x-rays- Prepare and maintain patient records- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns- Maintain a clean and organized work environment QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will possess the following traits, knowledge, and experience:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience- Current CPR certification- Knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and dental anatomy- Proficiency in using dental software- Familiarity documentation practices- Experience with medical imaging and taking dental x-rays- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
