TURN Community Services in Cedar City and St. George is looking to hire a full-time Behavior Specialist to work with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in the Cedar City and St George areas. Are you licensed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), Behavior Specialist, or an Assistant Behavior Specialist and have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Psychology or a related field? Now known as TURN Community Services, we provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities across Utah. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST As a Behavior Specialist, you are essential to our goal of providing exceptional support for individuals with disabilities. With your training as a BCBA, BCaBA, Behavior Specialist, or Assistant Behavior Specialist, you provide the expertise we need to carry out our programs and help our clients thrive. Each day, you come to work eager to assist the 20 to 25 individuals in your charge. With patience and compassion, you conduct functional assessment interviews to evaluate their behavior needs. You then create behavior support plans (BSPs) and put individual service plans (ISPs) into place to help you monitor the effectiveness of the BSPs. Careful to document your work, you update assessments, complete monthly summaries, and maintain other documentation that ensures correct billing.In addition to your work with the individuals in your care, you help train our staff in behavior plan interventions. On a regular basis, you attend training and support programs to keep yourself current and connected with our team. You enjoy your interactions with people who can relate to the unique challenges of our job. It isn't always easy, but you know that nothing worthwhile ever is. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors or Masters degree in Psychology or related field and a current license as a BCBA, BCaBA, Behavior Specialist, or Assistant Behavior Specialist 1+ years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviors Basic computer skills and the ability to produce typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical records Ability to work onsite once a week Reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record Do you have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks?
