Creditors Bureau USA is seeking experienced individuals for the position of Collection Representative . Collection Representatives are knowledgeable of procedures and techniques of account collection. The selected candidate will obtain and evaluate information to determine the consumer's ability to pay and establish payment arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of: Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) Typing skills including 10-key by touch Bilingual (English/Spanish) Customer Service practices and principals Collection rules, regulations and procedures Common accounting principles and procedures and their application to revenue collection Skip Tracing and other investigation techniques and procedures Insurance knowledge including Medical programs such as Private Insurance, Government Insurances including Medi-Cal and Medicare. The ability to ask for Payment in Full and assessment of factors in establishing payment plans Principles in the application of arithmetic and record-keeping Knowledge and understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and compliance Confidentiality requirements Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) Compliance Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Compliance Skills/Abilities: Understand, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, and Creditors Bureau USA policies regarding Collection accounts; Effectively communicate with consumers/patients to obtain and record factual information when attempting to collect a debt. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Establish and maintain positive working relationships with Managers, Peers, Client's and Consumers (Patients) Exercise initiative and perform assignments independently Exercise a high degree of maturity, integrity and good judgment Elicit cooperation and establish rapport with consumers, client's and the public Prepare accurate, clear and concise reports and other documents Maintain accurate collection records Operate a computer in the completion of daily tasks and assignments Handle large call volume Secure acceptable payment arrangements with consumers Meet daily, weekly and monthly productivity standards Successfully pass a background check Employee Benefits: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Holiday Pay 401(k) and 401(k) Matching Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Aflac Plans Life Insurance Bonuses
