"Tuacahn edifies and inspires the human spirit through professional world class family entertainment and an unparalleled artistic and academic experience that matches the majesty of the canyon" Position Title: Wardrobe CrewDepartment: Costume Shop Position Summary The Wardrobe Crew is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and steam/ironing all costumes in preparation for all shows as well as performing pre-sets of costumes and completing show dressing cues in an outdoor setting. Essential Functions Ability to work outside in a desert climate.Assemble and pre-set costumes prior to performancesAssist the performers with quick changesAssist with the on-going inspection of each assigned costume to identify repairsPerform laundry assignments as neededMaintain all paperwork assigned by the Wardrobe SupervisorCheck daily that all assigned costumes are clean and in good repairPerform emergency alterations, cleaning, or repairs as needed before, during, and after each performance.Cleans and maintains all spaces daily.Maintains the integrity of the costume designMaintain flexible schedule for work calls especially during tech weeksAdhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and maintain a safe work environment.Performs other job related tasks as assigned by the Wardrobe Supervisor or Costume Shop ManagerPerform all other job related duties as requested. Qualifications At least 2 years of professional work experience in a live theatrical environment as a wardrobe crew member or Stitcher or equivalent educational experience.Demonstrated knowledge of/and experience in a variety of costume construction techniques including quick rigging.Working knowledge of hand and machine stitching techniquesWorking knowledge in shoe rubbering and repair.Ability to collaborate with the wardrobe team to efficiently complete assigned projects.Ability to clean and maintain all related work spaces.Ability to maintain a professional work environment that reports to Wardrobe Supervisor. Skills / Abilities Ability to operate shop equipment including industrial and domestic sewing machines, multi needle and leather sewing machines, steam irons, and cutting toolsAbility to listen, take instruction, and to participate in a team to complete the assigned tasksExcellent organizational skillsExcellent time management skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work under tight deadlinesWorks well in a fast paced and high pressure environment.Must be able to run short distances.Ability to lift 20 lbs Housing is provided.
