Company Overview: Maria's New Mexican Kitchen has been in business for over 60 years. The Maria's tradition began as a small take-out kitchen that offered traditional, Northern New Mexican cuisine. The small take-out business quickly became a hit and over the years has grown into a full service restaurant that is now a Santa Fe institution. It has built a history specializing in authentic, home-style New Mexican dishes made with traditional red and green chile, handmade tortillas, and made to order margaritas, using only 100% agave tequila . Position Summary: Our Bartenders have a thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails, As a Bartender you will create a great experience for our guests by greeting them, learning about their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items and preparing and serving beverages and food. Qualifications & Characteristics Friendly and helpful attitude and a commitment to provide excellent customer service Impeccable integrity, honesty and trustworthiness Proficiency in the following restaurant functions: alcohol service and drink preparation, sanitation, company policies and procedures Ability to contribute to a positive team environment Strong organizational skills and time management skills Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with guests, other employees and restaurant management Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use POS systems
