Position Summary: Mission is to guarantee the conformity of a product/service to the requirements specified by our customers, and support quality on time and on cost delivery by delivering right first time to increase customer loyalty. You will lead and drive the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects by setting the measurement standards and identifying/facilitating improvements to increase: Process performance and product adherence to standards Reliability of processes Repeatability of processes, at initial design phase, before any process changes are made and continuously through the life of a product. Primary Responsibilities: Identify improvement opportunities, define and implement corrective action plans through a Multi Functional Team approach . 25% For example: Review and analysis of aircraft and process records, such as Nonconformity, Customer Quality Logbook, Airbus Logbook data; identify repetitive and high impact topics; raise potential Major Manufacturing Incidents Review and Analysis of Test Event Reports (TER) from the Flight Test Team & link to Quality Improvement Plans Review of Audit reports, Personnel qualification records, calibration records, jig and tool data Review KPI data Capture and re-use Lessons Learned Create and cascade Single Point Lessons and Quality Flash Alerts Ensure FOD Awareness in the assigned areas Facilitate and moderate Practical Problem Solving activities Implement, monitor and improve aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS), as aligned to the Roles & Responsibilities assigned, including compliance to all applicable regulatory (EASA, FAA), standards (EN9100/9110), policies, directives, processes and methods . 25% For example: Ensure adherence to the Internal Audit and Operational Surveillance Plans Perform Operational Surveillance as assigned Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements Support Internal and External Audits and follow up activities Work with subcontractors/service providers to implement clear, detailed and achievable improvement plans. Engage with various stakeholders (Production, Engineering, Suppliers, Customers, Subcontractor) and represent the Quality Department in Multi Functional Teams. As needed, convince and/or persuade others to follow ideas and proposals. 15% Support product conformity attestation system. 20% For example: Manage Quality Authorizations and delegations Develop and implement Inspection Control Plan using the relevant control systems, tools and methods Implement, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators to ensure that standards of Quality are improved and/or adapted where necessary. 5% Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned: 10% Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar discipline. May substitute relevant experience in place of the degree. Experience: Required: Minimum 3 years, preferably with an international aviation company in Aircraft Manufacturing/ Quality/Lean Management/ Quality Inspection of entire Aircraft or Aircraft installations Licensure/Certifications: Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Knowledge of topics key to Quality, i.e. pro-active prevention and continuous improvement, APQP, core tools (Quality Gates, CI's/KT's, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, PPS), Q6, CNQ, workmanship and FOD prevention. Good Knowledge about non-conformance management and Root Cause Analysis methods within Airbus. Strong and effective Practical Problem Solving skills (demonstrable). Understanding of the Kaizen approach to Manufacturing. Knowledge of the Production process and build cycle. Knowledge of rules for aircraft design and manufacturing Knowledge of aircraft mechanical & electrical installation. Familiar with the American aviation market, its Airlines and Airline Representatives Ability to quickly understand procedural and technical documents. Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Strong communication skills through all levels of the organization and Functions. Strong international communication skills Strong presentation skills. Ability to launch and host virtual meetings with Google Meet Technical Systems Proficiency: Familiar with SAP system (preferred) Travel Required: 10 % Domestic and International Eligibility: Authorized to Work in the US Clearance: None Decision Making, Complexity: Person will have decision making power within the guidelines and procedures linked to the listed responsibilities defined above. For example, contributing to station MFTs (Multi-Functional Teams), SQCDPs (Safety Quality Customer Delivery, People routines), and deciding when escalation is needed. Person will have decision making power formally delegated to him/her from his/her manager. Improvement of Customer satisfaction through improving the Quality of the Product/Process in front of the internal/external authorities Through engagement and behaviors drive people/teams to improve on current ways of working and standards to achieve excellence in manufacture/operations. Nature of Contacts: Involved Communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties Physical Requirements: Describes the physical requirements in the performance of the primary responsibilities of this position. Includes: Lifting, Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Sitting, Standing, Squatting/Kneeling, Walking, Speaking, Hearing, Vision, Manual Dexterity, Travel. Include estimated time or percentage for each factor and maximum weight for lifting. Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet. Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects. Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg. Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas. Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings. Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time. Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
