Position Summary: The Quality Supervisor I is expected to direct, supervise and coordinate all operational Quality activities in Single Aisle Flowline in a defined area of responsibility. Manages, motivates and develops the Quality team including Lead Inspectors. Responsible for ensuring the Airbus Quality Standards of the entire A/C based on the defined inspection dossier and in accordance with the POA relevant regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Lead and Develop a Team: 40% Lead and develop the Flowline Quality Inspection Team, ensure that the Level 3 qualification of inspection personnel is in accordance with the Airbus Qualification requirements. Risk mitigation of quality escapes endangering the aircraft built and or product safety, launch of immediate corrective actions Ensure that NCs are managed and drumbeat from creation to closure, that Andon's, are priority for all within the MFT. Act as the Responsible Focal Point for all internal and external Audits in assigned area of responsibility Liaise with the Customers and manage their pain points which come from the assigned area. Implement working level processes based on the experience and recommendations from existing FAL operations. Identifies opportunities and implements adaptations for local application of such ideas. Conducts training to insure optimum performance in job procedures and methods of lead employees and other assigned technicians. Ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations/company policies and procedures relating to workmanship. Conduct periodic performance evaluations, makes recommendations regarding personnel actions and collaborates with Quality Manager in employee communication and communicating on personnel actions. Plan and control workload of all assigned employees to ensure on time delivery per approved schedule. Coordinate with and obtain support from the assigned team Able to provide efficiency feed-back analysis and trend to management Ensure Compliance: 40% Ensure that all TCCA-POA regulatory requirements are implemented and used in the Flowline Product Quality and manufacturing organization and support the Supervisor II and or Quality Manager in their preparations Ensure that all technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft are carried out to the POA standards, inspection plans and attested Work with Operational Leadership on meeting/maintaining the required level of competencies and qualifications of the delegated Production Verification (PV). Ensure that the Aircraft production and the milestone FOT is in compliance with the Quality, cost and lead-time targets Ensure that employees are in compliance with OSHA, safety and environmental regulations. Project Management: 10% Support the deployment & implementation of sustainable improvement projects and standardize ways of working like Quality Excellence. Responsible for Continuous Improvement within your defined area. Basic awareness of the AOS System and has the ability to work in a QPS Brick. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned: 10% Work with respective functions to ensure all tooling, consumables and relative equipment are procured through the right channels in order to perform daily tasks. Work within a MFT to resolve Quality issues and ensure constant feedback loops with Liaison, ME, QE and FCM Supervisor I is expected to know where and how to find A220 processes and implement them. Qualified Skills / Experience / Training: Education: A Bachelors' degree in Aeronautical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Aviation (Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly Processes, Production method, etc.) or equivalent experience. 2 or more years of Leadership experience in Aviation is highly preferred. Experience with Quality / Logistics rules in aviation manufacturing. Licensure/Certifications: Any Lean Certification is preferred AMP not required Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: Ability to Find and work in Airbus processes as it relates to operations Proven Leadership Ability to create and manage KPIs Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Ability to speak French is preferred, but not required. Requires ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form Technical Systems Proficiency: Must be able to use Microsoft office, Google & SAP Travel Required: 10% Domestic and International Eligibility: Eligible for employment in the US. Clearance: None. Decision Making, Complexity: The Supervisor will be responsible for the normal Day to day operational decision making such as work planning, overtime and other. Will be able to Hire and discipline within the guidelines of the Employee Handbook Ability to make minor decisions which do not impact the safety of the Aircraft for milestones Organizational information: Reports to the Director of Quality VSM A220 Direct Reports: Exempt: 0 Non-exempt : 12+ Physical Requirements: Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. Equipment Operation: able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects. Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs/9kg. Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas. Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings. Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft. Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time. Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time. Working outside hangers in changing locations.
