Have you been working in an agricultural service or parts department for over five years? Can you diagnose equipment problems using a computer or over the phone to provide support for repair? Do you want to grow your career by working with some of the most technologically advanced agricultural machines? Are you looking to share your knowledge by training others? The opportunity We are looking to fill a newly created joint role of Technical Communicator / Training Coordinator. This is a centralized knowledge and training resource to improve problem resolution times resulting in increased knowledge for staff and less downtime and reduced costs for our customers. Position can be based at any one of our five locations. What you will be doing Assists in diagnosis and repairs through communication and sharing of best practices among all our five locations Actively monitors machine dashboards for expert alerts and conducts preliminary investigations into machine problems Liaise between staff and John Deere as needed Identifies, communicates and executes continuous process improvements in Service and Parts departments to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction Maintains up to date technical knowledge of engine, hydraulics, and electrical systems of John Deere and competitive products and repair manual schematics Assists Service Managers in identifying Technical training needs or gaps Certified by John Deere to deliver and facilitate John Deere training courses. Organize on site logistics of all training courses including needed equipment, training material/aids, shop and classroom prior to class start time Certified to deliver equipment safety training and maintain staff safety certifications. Your Qualifications To be successful in this role, you need: 5+ years of experience in Service or Parts department operations with experience performing service repairs; demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics preferred Experience.
