Course number and title : EDS285H5S The Future of Ed Tech: Active Learning Classrooms and Artificial Intelligence Course description : This course will explore research on emerging digital models, learning pods, platforms, apps and policies that seek to further customize, enhance and bring greater equity to education through technology. From the initiation of open courseware, to the inception of virtual reality, artificial intelligence, ALC classrooms, makerspaces and the “shared economy”, this course will foster a culture of digital innovation to investigate, accelerate, test and study new possibilities and advancements in the field of educational technology. Estimated course enrolment : 70 Estimated TA support : TBD Class schedule : Tuesdays 1pm-3pm (Please see ttb. utoronto. ca ) [NOTE: The mode of instruction for this course is expected to be in-person. However, if this changes for any reason, you will be provided with as much advance notice as practicable. ] Sessional dates of appointment : January 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024 Salary : Sessional Lecturer I - $9,457.90 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $9,930.79 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer II - $10,121.77 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer II Long Term - $10,326.62 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer III - $10,362.76 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Sessional Lecturer III Long Term - $10,570.02 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
